English Breakfast

One of the main reasons for me to travel for me is to taste many new savors and try new dishes.

Today I’m going to share an all time classic of the United Kingdom: the English Breakfast.

A full breakfast (known as English breakfast) is a substantial cooked breakfast meal that typically includes bacon, sausages, eggs, black pudding, baked beans, tomatoes and mushrooms, toast, and a beverage such as coffee or tea.

BACON – Any bacon is good but the bacon they mostly use in England is back bacon (cut from the back). Back bacon is very ham-like with the fat around the edge and unsmoked.

SAUSAGE – Any sausage you have in your fridge. English sausage will be mostly pork

EGGS – Fried is best.

BEANS – A must in English breakfast. Slow digesting food will give you energy throughout the day.

TOMATOES – Cut in half and sautéed flesh side down to soften and brown slightly.

MUSHROOMS – Fresh, brown mushrooms. Sliced and simply sautéed.

BREAD – Any bread is good. Super fresh or slightly grilled, the important part is crunch !

BLACK PUDDING – Black pudding is a black sausage made out of pig blood. The color and ingredient may not seem the most appealing but it’s filled with a lot of spices and the texture is very soft.

SAUCE –  Ketchup is fine
